50 Shades of Perfection!

Dear Sir,

If you don't know what all the fuss is about-
you need to read about it!

Do yourself a favour and buy, borrow or steal these books (not literally!)...

You won't regret it.

Your Simone.

Best Dressed Baby.

I'm about to share Mandurah's best kept secret with you...

ASTER AND RUBY!

Aster and Ruby is a gorgeous little store, filled with handmade vintage inspired clothing and accessories located in the Dolphin Quay Marina. This one-of-a-kind store stocks predominatly handmade clothing, jewellery, toys and gifts for women and children. Brands include asterbelle, millaruby, ribryba toys, sharmeil baby shoes, mellebug, amber room, cot candy, little treasures, mida, heavenlee creations and many more!

It is easy to see how mums get carried away in this little hide away. There is everything a fashion conscious mummy could want and need. Not to mention top old fashioned service, where every customer is valued and given second-to-none attention and advice. The girls in Aster and Ruby are more than simply passionate about the store, they are the master minds behind each and every item. What ever items they haven't personally hand crafted and made with love in store- they have searched for the best quality, Australian made perfect substitute!

Although, it's not just mums that strike gold in this store, but every woman. As a 24 year old, childless fashionista... I personally struggle to walk by without popping my head. And with that, I (of course) inevitably walk out with a teal coloured paper bag (they are environmentally friendly too!) filled with the most delightful of treasures.

I am a huge fan of the hair accessories- clips, headbands, beanies. However, I have my eyes set on their new range of women's clothing that incorporates style and the most perfect vintage prints!

So for all of you reading my post that live close by, I urge you to check it out- life as you know it will be changed for the better!

And as for everyone else- you're in luck! Aster and Ruby have an online store and facebook page that you need to check out. No longer will you need to search high and low for that perfect gift for mums-to-be, children's birthdays or yourself...ASTER AND RUBY has it all!

Here's proof...

HOT YOGA

On Wednesday, a friend and I tried heated yoga for the first time. (Heated yoga is an athletic style of yoga designed to sculpt, strengthen and open the body in a room that is heated to 30 degrees.) As much as I love going to the gym, it is so easy to become bored with the same classes or cardio routines...I knew it was time to try something new. I'd heard many good comments about heated or hot yoga so decided to give it a go, even though I was apprehensive. I am very energetic and struggle to sit still for long periods of time so was a bit nervous that stretching for 90minutes would bore me. Boy was I wrong!

I must admit, within the first ten minutes I leaned across to my friend Dani and said, "I don't think this is for me".  But because it was such a small room (and that Dani had given me a lift there) I couldn't leave. I am so glad I stayed because as I became more comfortable and confident, I enjoyed the stretches and challenges even more. Although I couldn't complete all the challenges, I am looking forward to attending heated yoga classes to improve and look forward to the day when I can do all stretches by name, without having to watch the person at the front for correct form.

What shocked me even more, is that I loved the meditation and relaxation at the end of the session. Normally my idea of torture would be to keep me seated cross-legged and silent for any length of time. However, with the amazing, inspirational and uplifting instrumental music that played in the background while we concentrated on breathing and releasing our positive energy into the universe, I felt completely calm.

It was a strange feeling as I left the room to come home. I felt so energetic yet so calm! I came home to a beautiful bowl of vegie soup, showered and went stright to bed feeling so empowered and satisfied.

I would recommend hot yoga to anyone and everyone. Don't miss out on such an awesome experience just because you don't think it's for you. You might just surprise yourself and become addicted like me. I can't wait until next Wednesday to do it all again :)
