Beautiful Busselton.

How did you spend your school holidays? That was the question I was dreading on my return to school. The only way I could answer that was with- painting and cleaning my house, drinking and eating too much and reading all three books in the 'Hunger Games' series! So to beat the blues, a few other teachers and I agreed to a getaway down south to Busselton. Busso, as the locals refer to it :),  is located in the renowned Cape to Cape sub-region of the South West of WA. We left from Pinjarra, picked up another girl in Waroona and travelled about an hour and a half to the town of Bunbury. Here we feasted at the local pub, had a sneak peak in the local shops and even bumped into some families from our school!
After lunch, we got back into the car and continued to our final destination, our luxury accommodation: Abbey Beach Resort, Busselton.

After an afternoon of wining and dining we had a lavish, late dinner at The Goose restaurant. All of our meals were divine and the service was amazing. We weren't late out of bed this first night as we had a big day ahead of us at the day spa!

(Thanks to Escape Day Spa, Dunsborough for our gorgeous full body swedish massage! Check out the photos above of our luxurious spa room)

That night we shared pizza, silly stories and drank too many fruit tingle cocktails at the local pub in Busselton, The Vasse. Due to the late night, we slept in on our final day and then had brunch on the waterfront at The Equinox Cafe. (Come to think of it, my response to that initial questions is actually the same- ate too much food and drank too much wine! It almost feels more acceptable though, being away on holiday!)

After brunch, we walked the Busselton Jetty, which is the longest timber-piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere, stretching 1.8km. We were blessed with beautiful weather, great company and lots of laughs along the way.

What an amazing and rather spontaneous few days we had in the beautiful town of Busselton! Back to school tomorrow... BRING IT ON!

Cheap Thrills for the Feet!

Yesterday I had the dreaded task of doing my grocery shopping, however, on my way I was stopped by one small word that captivated my attention and managed to put me off task for the next few hours- SALE!
A variety of shoe and clothing stores were having a SALE so I had to check them out. I was surprised by the range of shoes available at ridiculously cheap prices! I am a real shoe girl always tempted to spend money on my feet rather than the rest of my body! This season is no exception, with the awesome colours and styles that I just can't refuse. I know sometimes reduced prices means reduced quality but really, if they last me the winter months, I'll be satisfied... and with prices like these-
I might just be able to have them all :)

(Click on the shoes you like below- it will redirect you to another window where you can purchase them online or see the retailers that stocks them!)
